It’s still wintery outside, and I wanted to make something hardy and filling, but nothing so over the top that we couldn’t afford it, or it’d be a one-time meal. I looked through some old-timey recipes I had laying around, and viola! This soup is similar to my mothers recipe, I made some changes and added bacon… everyone loves bacon!
